The love of God lasts forever

Ephesians  4:30-32 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger… Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

It pleases the LORD to give us what we ask of Him in prayer(John 16:24). But while we are sure that God listens to our prayers, there are times when our prayers are often hindered for many reasons, and one of them is forgiveness. In this life, we are all going to be hurt one way or the other; no one can avoid being hurt, but the question is how do we deal with the hurt we feel, for it not to hinder our prayers.

The Biblical answer to this question is choosing to forgive those who have treated you unjustly, just like Christ Jesus forgave you. If God the Father, has been willing to forgive us through the painful death of His Son on the cross; by shedding His Holy blood by the crown of thorns, and the nailing of His hands and feet on the cross by ungodly sinful men; …then because of the cross, we do not have a right to hold unforgiveness against anybody. Jesus Christ says in Mark 11:25,

“Whenever you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them so that your Father in Heaven may forgive you. Don’t let forgiveness rob you of the answers to your prayers; make the choice to forgive, so that God will forgive you and release the answer to your prayers.
