As a matter of fact Indian cinema also deserves a great place in the world of cinema. In that order bolly woods highest grossing film made 27 times more than Hollywood’s highest grossing film. Hollywood films give preference to the musical soundtracks which make their films classic. If Hollywood produces 800 films bollywood would produce 1000 films. Therefore bollywood films are more profitable as they produce more number of films. In 2009 the highest grossing film was produced named as Avatar. This film made 2.8 billion dollars at the box office collection. Whereas a bollywood film called 3 idiots brought 76.81 billion dollars at the box office collection.
INVENTION OF SHAMPOO:
Indians always have a craze towards the western products. We all think that shampoo is also one such adopted product. But the fact is shampoo was invented in India in the16th century. The word shampoo was derived from the Sanskrit language which means massage. In the 16th century India introduced the shampooing methods. But the difference between older shampooing methods and the current shampooing methods is that in the olden days they used herbs to shampoo their heads rather than the combination of modern chemicals and fragrances. Gooseberry, satin dews and some other herbs were used by the Indian people. This shampooing method was taken to Europe by the British imperialists.
As we all know diamonds are one of the precious stones in the world. These diamonds were first mined only in India. India was the greatest diamond producer in the world. Until the diamonds were found in Brazil in the 18th century India was the greatest diamond mining country in the world. In India in the present day there are three active diamond mines. In the 13th century one of the most precious and famous Kohinoor diamond was found in India. This 793 carats stone was passed to the hands of different people and finally to the hands of Queen Victoria during the British rule in India.
ELEPHANTS IN KERALA:
Like how we humans prefer a spa for our recreation, the elephants in Kerala can also treat themselves in a spa for their refreshment. In Kerala there is a rejuvenation centre for elephants called as Arcada elephant yard. In this centre the elephants are provided with baths, massages and soothing pamper sessions. This spa caters to 59 clients. This is a way of giving some relaxation to these sacred animals. The elephants play a significant role in the Kerala’s temple processions. Moreover these elephants have very significant role in the state of Kerala. So it is so good to offer this recreation to these elephants.
LARGEST RELIGIOUS GATHERING:
Uniquely in India there is a largest religious gathering called as kumba mela. This is a Hindu pilgrimage. Kumba mela takes place once in 12 years. During this auspicious the banks of river Ganga will be flooded with the people crowd mostly the Hindus. Many foreigners also take part in this kumba mela as a matter of their interest. On this day the major event involves the ritualistic bathing, devotional singing, religious discussion and feeding the poor. This event has been witnessed with 75 million people and hence this event has become the largest pilgrimage on earth.

Together with all these pride India also deserves the pride as the oldest civilization. The ancient Indian civilisation is the oldest civilisations in the world. Whenever we think about the oldest civilisations we think only about the Greece and ancient Egypt but the Indian civilisation backs to 2400 BC. During that period India was split into 16 monarchies known as the mahajanpadas. When we date back to 30.000 years there are evidences that the authorised humans were living in the south Asian countries. Between 2000 and 500 BC the oldest Hindu texts, First texts on science, medicine and astronomy were written. The Indians created the concept of zero in the field of mathematics.
India not only has diversity but also has unity in that diversity and serves as the home of every major world religion. India does not have a national language. Hinduism, Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, Sikhism etc have a place in Indian society. But the most dominating number of people in India belongs to the Hindu and Islam religions. Hindus cover about 80% of Indian population and Islam people cover about 14% of the population. Judaism existed in India for the last 2250 years. India also has some small religions including jains, Zoroastrian and so on. Across India 1652 dialects are spoken by different peoples and hence they don’t have a specific national language.
A POLLING STATION:
It is very surprising to know that a polling station was set up in a Girl forest for one voter living in that forest. For every election that man goes to this local polling station. We can even say that this polling station entirely belongs to him as it was set up only to get his vote. He is the only resident in Gir forest. He has been voting in Indian elections since 2004.

Similarly as how India has many natural places as tourist spots it also has many historical places. In that order Taj mahal is one of the most important historical places. This is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. There for the Indian government have used scaffolding to hide the Taj mahal when air strikes are predicted.
India deserves a special place in the list of countries that brought about some huge number of inventions. This is because India has invented so many things including navigation, yoga, world’s cheapest car; thorium based nuclear power and so on. They were the first to bring new and unimaginable concepts into these worlds.
